We believe that a relationship with God through Jesus Christ is the starting point in getting God's wisdom for our lives. By seeking him and understand him through reading and studying his word, and then doing his word, we foster a relationship and have fellowship with him. As we develop this relationship with him, he provides us with everything we need to live our lives with joy, purpose and wisdom. This does not mean the Christian does not have emotional or mental health issues, but that in following his ways, one can learn to focus on Him rather than on depression, anxiety, trauma or our moods. Some people do suffer from severe mental health conditions and need medications, so we do encourage people to seek medications when needed, along with therapy.

We believe the Bible is inspired by God through the Holy Spirit in the form of the old and new testaments, which are inerrant and provide us with how to live our lives emotionally, physically and spiritually in relationally. 

2 Tim. 3, 16 -17

[16] All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: [17] That the man of God may be perfect, thoroughly furnished unto all good works. 

We believe in the Triune God - God the Father, The Son (Jesus) and the Holy Spirit. 

Matt 28:19

“Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit . . .”

Jesus himself said, no one can come to the father, except by me. We believe God came in the form of the son of man (Jesus). He was immaculately conceived, lived a sinless life, suffered and died on a cross for all of mankind and then rose again 3 days later, as was prophesied in the old testament. 

John 14:6 

Then Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.

We believe God's word says marriage is intended to be between a man and a woman.

Matthew 19:4-6 

“Haven’t you read,” he replied, “that at the beginning the Creator ‘made them male and female,’ and said, ‘For this reason a man will leave his father and mother and be united to his wife, and the two will become one flesh’? So they are no longer two, but one flesh. Therefore what God has joined together, let no one separate.” 

We understand some individual's beliefs may not align with our own. WE DO NOT DECRIMINATE AGAINST ANYONE and will provide services if you have PTSD, depression or anxiety, however, Ken's usual format for counseling is Christian counseling based on the 4 theological points above. We are providing this information so you can make good decisions about your mental health and choose a counselor who is a good fit for you.
