This is the process we use prior to therapy to get started.
Once you complete the intake questionnaire, I will then complete an initial consultation with you over the phone to make sure I can meet your needs. From there I will schedule an intake Assessment appointment with you.
At your initial appointment, you will complete some brief screens to help me collect important information about your situation. I will then complete a comprehensive diagnostic Interview. You will also sign some required documentation. I will provide you with a diagnosis in most cases.
If you meet requirements for outpatient treatment, We will discuss any recommendations and schedule therapy sessions at this time.
As a therapist, I am ethically required to only treat disorders and conditions that I have specific training for. Due to this, I may not be able to provide you with the care you require. If not, I will provide you with some referrals.
Depression, anxiety, suicidality, non-suicidal self-injury, PTSD and other trauma related disorders, ADHD, Oppositional Defiance Disorder, Bipolar Disorders, Phobias, Body Dysmorphia and some personality disorders. (Anyone needing medications to treat certain disorders will be required to have a psychiatrist, be taking there medications as prescribed and sign a release of information so I can stay in contact with them.
Abba Counseling Services often provides most individual and family counseling from a Christian perspective, incorporating Biblical scripture and prayer during the sessions.
Relationship counseling, family counseling that is NOT court related, and pre-marriage couples.
